Janice Marie Dwyer was born
in Redwood City, California and grew up in the Bay Area.
She graduated from the University of Santa Clara with a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in 1980. She received
her degree in Political Science after studying for a year
in Madrid, Spain. After graduating from Santa Clara, she
moved to Northern California to attend law school.
Janice attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge
School of Law, graduating in 1984. While attending law school,
she worked as a law clerk for the Judges at the Placer County
Superior Court and at the Sacramento County Superior Court.
Janice has been a Certified Specialist in workers’
compensation since 1993 and has over 20 years experience
in workers’ compensation defense. She is a frequent
guest speaker for various employers, insurance agencies
and attorney organizations. She is admitted to practice
in the Eastern and Northern District Federal Courts and
the State Courts of California and Nevada. Past experience
also includes plaintiffs’ personal injury work.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family,
hiking, teaching Spanish to elementary school children and
exploring new places. |
