Born in Sacramento and raised in the region, Mr. McClendon joined Cuneo, Black, Ward & Missler in April, 2008. Randal earned his BA in Government and Foreign Affairs in 1995 at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia,. He attended McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, Sacramento, CA, earning his J.D. in 1998.
Mr. McClendon became a member of the California State Bar Association in June of 1999, working in the workers' compensation, subrogation, and civil litigation practice areas. In 2004, Randal accepted a position as staff counsel for a large national insurance company, where he continued the practice of workers' compensation defense.
Randal is active in the workers' compensation community, and throughout his legal career, Randal has been a lecturer and trainer on various topics associated with the defense of workers' compensation claims. He is a member of the State Bar of California Workers' Compensation Section, Sacramento County Bar Association Workers' Compensation Section, Northern California Workers' Compensation Defense Attorneys Association, is a member of the Legislative Committee for the California Self Insurers' Association.
Randal comes from a family of lawyers. His wife, father, step-mother and father-in- law are all attorneys in California. His younger brother, Eric is attending law school in Oregon. His sister is a teacher. Both of his siblings served in the U.S. Marines. He is very proud of them both.
He has two wonderful children, Ian and Drew, who keep him quite busy outside of work. During his off time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hunting and sports.
