James R. Missler was born in Lima, Ohio. Jim graduated from Bowling Green State University (B.A.) in 1973, and from the University Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1977. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1978. Mr. Missler has been a practitioner of Workers’ Compensation Defense for twenty-five years, and is one of the co-founders of the firm. He serves as the managing
shareholder of the firm.

He is a California State Bar Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist since February 22, 1991. Jim has earned an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the California State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section and Sacramento County Bar Workers’ Compensation Section. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the California Compensation Defense Attorney’s Association (CCDAA), and past President of CCDAA. Jim is an arbitrator for Workers’ Compensation. Jim is married with two children and three grandchildren. He is an avid cyclist.
